"I found this work later in life, and it feels like coming home."
For a long time I worked in corporate roles. I lived overseas. I built a life that, by most measures, looked full. But becoming a counsellor was a long-time dream of mine, and once family responsibilities allowed, I came back to it.
Now, at this stage of life, I feel like I'm finally doing what I was meant to do. Helping people understand themselves and live more fully is not a job for me. It is my purpose, and I'm grateful for every person who lets me walk alongside them.
I grew up as what's called a "third culture kid," raised in one culture by parents from another. Over time, kids like me tend to fuse those cultures together into something new, something that belongs entirely to us.
Growing up with a blend of Asian and Western values was confusing at first. There were moments I felt I belonged fully to neither side. But over the years, I learned to embrace my unique identity, and that journey gave me both a sensitivity and a curiosity about how culture shapes who we become.
If you've ever felt caught between worlds, between your family's expectations and your own, between the language you grew up with and the one you live in now, between an old self and an emerging one, I understand that ground. We can sit in it together.
The way I work is shaped by a few core principles. They aren't a script. They're a posture.
We move at the pace your nervous system can hold. Safety comes first. Depth follows naturally.
The patterns that shape how we connect, conflict, and protect ourselves often started long before this moment. Naming them is the first step to changing them.
Your cultural identity, faith, family history, and lived experience aren't background. They're central to who you are and how you heal.
You are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside, not lead from the front.
Body, mind, relationships, faith, and history all belong in the room.
You are welcome here, exactly as you are.
I've spent years building a toolkit that lets me shape the work to fit each client. The list below reflects the modalities I draw on regularly.
The people who come to me are often carrying things they've held for a long time. Sometimes for generations. Trauma. Expectations. Silences. The weight of being the first, or the only, or the bridge between worlds.
I do this work because I believe healing is possible. Because I have watched people set down what they've been carrying and become more themselves. Because the world is better when more of us are living the lives we were actually meant to.
If any part of that resonates, I'd love to hear from you.
